House explosion kills 10 people in Ho Chi Minh City

At 0:30 this morning (February 24), a serious explosion occurred at a house near Nguyen Van Troi Bridge, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City. Two explosions about 5 minutes apart came from alley 384 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, District 3. Immediately after, a fierce fire broke out, damaging 4 adjacent houses.

House number 9, consisting of a ground floor and first floor, collapsed completely, while house number 7A had a heavy collapse at the back. The wall between the two houses was also broken. Smoke and dust billowed.

By noon today (February 24), rescue forces had found and brought out 7 bodies, 3 people are still missing and authorities are actively searching.

Major General Tran Trieu Duong, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Fire Police Department, was present at the scene to directly direct the rescue force. Currently, the engineering force has been reinforced to the scene, coordinating with the fire police force to participate in the search for the missing people.



The explosion caused a house to collapse and buried many people.




Rescue workers struggled to find victims.

7 people have been confirmed dead but there are still people under this rubble

The scene was strictly sealed off to serve the rescue work.

1. Mr. Le Minh Phuong (58 years old)

2. Mrs. Mac Thi Phuoc (48 years old, Mr. Phuong's wife)

3. Mrs. Luong Thi Tuyet is Mr. Phuong's sister.

4. Le Khanh Phuong (17 years old, 11th grade student)

5. Le Minh Quan (15 years old, 9th grade student)

6. Le Nam Phuong. (6 years old)

7. Nguyen Thi Tan Xuan (44 years old)

8. Ho Kieu Anh (17 years old)

9. Nguyen Thanh Minh (51 years old)

10. Pham Ngoc Tung (46 years old)
