Shooting, hostage taking in Moscow, at least 1 dead
At least one person was killed, two were injured and several were taken hostage when a gunman opened fire at a factory in southeast Moscow, Russia on December 27.

News agencyRIA NovostiAccording to a representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the shooting occurred at around 9:13 a.m. this morning at a building on Ilovaiskaya Street, Moscow. According to initial information, this was a shooting related to a land dispute.
An unknown gunman attacked the factory, killing at least one person and injuring two others. The gunman is still holding several hostages inside. Police have cordoned off the area and are trying to negotiate with the attacker to lay down his weapons and release the hostages.
Interfax news agency quoted a police source as saying that the gunman was believed to be Ilya Averyanov, the former owner of the factory who had a disagreement with the current owner.
