Shots fired at bus carrying journalists at Rio de Janeiro Olympics

A bus carrying journalists to cover the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro was attacked, injuring two people, Reuters news agency quoted witnesses as saying.

The incident occurred while the bus was on the highway between the basketball tournament venue and the Olympic Park. According to passengers in the bus, they heard two gunshots.

"They were shooting at us. I mean, we heard them talking about shooting," former US Air Force Captain Cheryl Michaelson told sports media reporters.

The aftermath of the shooting: the bus's windows were shattered, two people were slightly injured. Brazilian police did not comment on the incident.
