(Baonghean) -Vinh Transport Hospital (VTVinh) was established and has been developing for exactly 20 years (1993 - 2013). From a sector hospital, only examining and treating patients who are officers and employees of the transport sector, the hospital now has a scale of 150 beds, surpassing the sectoral framework, attracting many patients from all over to come for examination and treatment.

Currently, the Hospital has 148 staff members with 32 doctors, of which 14 doctors - masters, specialists 1 with high professional qualifications and extensive experience in medical examination and treatment.

Dr. Le Van Tiec, Director of the Hospital, said: Talking about the income of hospital staff, it is lower than other places. However, we "keep" our brothers with "love", with enthusiasm and working environment. We pay special attention to training human resources, improving professional qualifications, skills and medical ethics, creating conditions for brothers to go to school; participate in training courses, have preferential mechanisms for those who go to school: enjoy the same regime as employees; can study many certificates at the same time; the hospital covers all study costs; create conditions for relatives to work at the hospital in suitable positions...

Every month, the hospital organizes medical records review, updates, processes patient information, provides training on the application of scientific advances in the industry, learns good experiences and good practices from other hospitals... to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment. In 2012, the hospital has put into service many modern equipment and new high-tech services with efficiency such as appendectomy, ovarian cyst removal, ectopic pregnancy by endoscopy, ENT endoscopy; Pharco surgery, cervical endoscopy, kidney ultrafiltration, AB eye ultrasound, breast X-ray...

Since 2004, with the transfer of technology from the Department of Nephrology and Blood Filtration from Bach Mai Hospital, Vinh Transport Hospital has successfully deployed a dialysis center to help patients in the Nghe An - Ha Tinh area reduce many economic difficulties and overload of upper-level hospitals. From the initial 10 dialysis machines, it has now increased to 25 machines and dialysis for 150 people at the same time.

The issue of medical ethics is always put first in the hospital. Meritorious doctor Le Van Tiec often advises his staff: "Each patient, when sick, is already in pain and sorrow, so the team of staff, doctors and nurses should treat them gently, not only using their expertise and medical skills but also their feelings to ease that pain..." And through specific actions such as: Being willing to donate blood to save patients in emergency situations; giving gifts and encouraging poor patients; supporting patients on dialysis; examining, treating and providing free medicine to the disabled and the elderly in neighboring wards... On average, each year the hospital has donated and mobilized nearly 150 million VND from staff and employees in the agency to help poor patients.

Thanks to that, the hospital has created its own "position", reputation and brand. On average, the hospital receives about 200-300 patients per day. The hospital has signed a contract with the Department of Health and Provincial Health Insurance to provide initial medical examination and treatment (KCBBĐ) for more than 31,000 health insurance cards and manages 16 medical stations that accept KCBBĐ. In the first 6 months of 2013 alone, the hospital examined over 30,000 people; treated nearly 25,000 patients; performed paraclinical and diagnostic imaging of all kinds: 170,000 patients...

With its contributions over the past 20 years, the Hospital was upgraded from 3rd to 2nd rank by the Ministry of Transport. In 2012, the Hospital Party Committee achieved the title of Strong and Clean, receiving the Excellent Emulation Flag from the Prime Minister; the Trade Union was awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, many departments, divisions and individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Minister of Transport and the Transport Industry Trade Union.
