The deputy manager of the recycling area of Sao Vang Leather Shoe Company Ltd. had his leg severed and lost a lot of blood due to a boiler explosion.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of January 8 at Sao Vang Leather Shoe Company Ltd. - Uong Bi Branch (Quang Ninh Province) in the middle of working hours, causing hundreds of workers to panic.

Information from the People's Committee of Uong Bi city said that the explosion scene was at building C, 2nd floor, recycling area of Sao Vang Leather Shoes Company Limited, Uong Bi Branch (Yen Thanh ward, Uong Bi city).

The scene of the explosion injured 5 people.

The boiler explosion injured five people, including Ms. Le Thi Anh Tuyet, 35 years old, Deputy Manager, residing in Dai Yen ward, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh, who had her right leg severed.

Worker Do Thi Thuy, 31 years old, residing in Dong Mai ward, Quang Yen town, Quang Ninh was stunned and fainted on the spot; 3 other workers, Ms. Luu Thuy Linh, 30 years old, Pham Thi Van, 41 years old, both residing in Phuong Dong ward, Uong Bi city and Pham Thi Hao, 26 years old, residing in Tien Phong commune, Quang Yen town, Quang Ninh, suffered minor injuries. The victims were immediately taken to the Vietnam - Sweden Hospital (Uong Bi city) for emergency treatment.

Immediately after the incident, Mr. Nguyen Duc Long, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, directed the authorities to urgently go to the scene to fix the problem and use all measures to rescue the 5 injured workers.

According to doctors, the victim Le Thi Anh Tuyet lost a lot of blood because her lower leg was severed. Furthermore, the victim has a rare blood type (AB), making emergency treatment difficult.

Accordingly, the Trade Union of Sao Vang Leather Shoes Company, Uong Bi Branch, mobilized hundreds of the company's workers to participate in testing to donate blood to save their colleagues.
