(Baonghean.vn) -We visited the Van Nam salt fields in Dien Van commune (Dien Chau) on an early summer day. Salt workers, mostly women and the elderly - strong enough to change jobs or unable to travel far for work, were drying their backs in the sun to create salty white salt grains.

Only when you go down to the salt fields can you see the hardships and difficulties of the salt workers. Their work starts at 5am. A day of hard work with the steps of cleaning the fields, drying the sand, monitoring the water, the sun and the wind... the salt workers work hard until 3-4pm to make salt into grains.
