'Temporary shelter' for wildlife in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - The Wildlife Rescue Center of Pu Mat National Park is considered a "temporary shelter" for wild animals after they have been rescued and confiscated by authorities from hunting and trading activities in Nghe An province. Here, after being cared for and treated for their wounds, the animals will be released back into the natural environment in the core area of ​​Pu Mat National Park.

Two rescued moon bears are being cared for and raised here.

After being rescued from illegal hunting, trading and transportation, wild animals will be brought to the care center before being released into the natural environment. At the Wildlife Rescue Center, there is a system of 05 large cages to ensure temporary rescue for species: carnivores, primates, porcupines, pangolins...; 01 rescue cage for ungulates; 02 rescue areas for land turtles and water turtles; 06 iron cages for rescuing cats, civets...

There are currently 4 wild boars here.

Wild boars are mainly brought to the center from illegal hunting.

The red-faced monkey is also "temporarily residing" here.

There are currently 6 monkeys "taking refuge" at the rescue center before being returned to the natural environment.

There are also five monitor lizards waiting to return to the forest.

The largest number is turtles with 11 individuals. All animals, after being cared for and treated for their wounds, will be released into the core zone of Pu Mat National Park.Every year, the center releases 30-40 animals into the natural forest, contributing to preserving biodiversity and protecting the environment.tube for rare animals
