Farmers are supported when suffering natural disasters and epidemics

From January 10, rice producers who suffer losses due to natural disasters and epidemics will receive support from the State with fertilizers and pesticides. This is stipulated in Circular 205/2012/TT-BTC issued by the Ministry of Finance.

Specific support levels: For cultivated areas within 45 days with damage of over 70%, support is 2.5 million VND/ha; for damage from 30% - 70%, support is 1.75 million VND/ha. For cultivated areas over 45 days with damage of over 70%, support is 5 million VND/ha; for damage from 30-70%, support is 3.5 million VND/ha.

The organization of support implementation is applied according to the provisions of Article 5 of Circular No. 187/2010/TT-BTC dated November 22, 2010 of the Ministry of Finance stipulating the mechanism and policies to support plant varieties, livestock and aquatic products to restore production in areas damaged by natural disasters and epidemics.
