According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Dang - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Anh Son district: In the summer-autumn crop of 2017, the whole district planted over 1,800 hectares of corn, mainly corn varieties with short and medium growing time, drought-resistant such as: DK6919, CP 333, B.06, B.265, CP501, with an estimated yield of 2.5 quintals/sao.
Currently, the district has directed localities to urgently urge people to harvest corn on alluvial lands to avoid damage caused by floods, and to send cadres to stay close to the grassroots and directly participate in the harvest with the people, with the motto "green house is better than ripe field".

* Before the storm, Nghia Dan district directed communes and towns to urgently harvest the 2017 rice crop.
Nghia Yen commune has 200 hectares of agricultural land, of which more than 50 hectares are planted in streams at risk of flooding. During the 2 days of 13 and 14 communes, propaganda and announcements were made on loudspeakers to encourage people to mobilize all forces for early harvest.
Not only the rice fields in the streams, at this time, in all the fields, every household and every person is concentrating on harvesting rice with the motto "green house is better than ripe field".
Ms. Le Thi Hieu in Dua hamlet, Nghia Yen commune said: "My family has 4 sao of rice. Although the rice is not fully ripe yet, before the storm No. 10 is about to make landfall, the women's union members helped harvest part of the rice, so my family's rice area was able to escape the storm in time."
