Farmers earn hundreds of millions of dong each year from cassava.

At the end of 2016, after learning about the traditional vermicelli making profession in Yen Bai province, Mr. Nguyen Cao Dan brought cassava plants to plant locally on an area of ​​40 hectares.

Mr. Nguyen Cao Dan said: Arrowroot is a plant that is easy to grow and easy to grow. He bought the seeds in Thanh Hoa. Each hectare of planting requires 3.5 to 4 tons of seed tubers, costing about 10 million VND, not including planting and care. Currently, each hectare of arrowroot planted in rubber trees has a yield of 55 tons/ha. If the land is good and no other plants are planted, the yield in many places has reached 120 tons of tubers/ha.

It is worth mentioning that his cellophane noodles product has been signed with a craft village in Hanoi to purchase all products, so the output is stable.

With a large area of ​​​​arrowroot cultivation and stable output, after surveying, the Social Policy Bank of Quy Hop district disbursed a large loan to Mr. Dan's family to open a production workshop. Currently, Mr. Dan's arrowroot vermicelli production facility has invested nearly 600 million VND. In 2017, after deducting expenses, his family earned a profit of 200 million VND.
