Of which: 17 cases of property theft/18 subjects; 9 cases of robbery/10 subjects; 6 cases of extortion/6 subjects; 21 cases of intentional injury/28 subjects and other types of crimes. Notably, the diversity of the violators: students, high school students, middle school students and even teachers. In early 2011, Vinh City public opinion was shocked to hear that student Le Ngoc Quan of Vinh Medical University used a knife to stab to death his girlfriend Thai Thi Thanh (a student at the same school) in his rented room.
After that, Quan used a knife to commit suicide but failed. In addition, taking advantage of the development of IT, many students wrote propaganda blogs, spoke ill of the Party, the State and the regime, sought to approach and connect with foreign subjects to ask for books, newspapers, documents, and established political groups. Some schools had conflicts and petitions that affected internal solidarity and caused bad public opinion. In addition, the situation of students violating traffic laws is still common, mainly high school and middle school students, the violations are not wearing helmets, not obeying traffic lights, going in the wrong direction, driving a motorbike under the prescribed age, not having a driver's license, carrying more people than the prescribed number...
Student life still has many complicated problems, making many people startled. Many students use fake student cards to deal with school inspections, and use real cards as collateral to borrow money to participate in gambling in the form of lottery, betting... Some students are far from home, rent places without owners or poor management, so they live together as husband and wife. Some lazy high school and middle school students have gathered into groups, along with the enticement of bad elements outside of society, just need to have a disagreement or conflict to show their "heroic blood" by fighting, assaulting and causing injuries. The situation of running away from home, students getting involved in violent games, swearing... is very common.
The reason is due to the negative impact of the market economy, unhealthy cultural factors have penetrated, forming a loose and careless lifestyle among students. Some students, due to difficult life and high tuition fees, are lured and bribed by bad elements. The management work still has many loopholes and lacks synchronization, affecting school security. A number of cadres, teachers, students and pupils lack vigilance and courage, making them easily provoked and lured. On the other hand, some schools have not paid due attention to school security.
To do well in school security, it is necessary to have the real and synchronous participation of functional forces, units and each cadre, teacher, staff, student in a harmonious relationship between society - family - school. Schools must improve management, build and strictly and strictly implement regulations and rules; closely contact students' families and functional forces to do well in school security, promptly provide information related to school security to authorities.
