Florida television station WPLG accused Sabine Raymonvil, 30, of appearing in adult films after joining the police force eight years ago, the News reported. WPLG claimed to have copies of the films in which Raymonvil appeared.
Raymonvil is said to have starred alongside Emerson Callum, a porn producer who was sentenced to life in prison in 2012 for rape, and Lavont Flanders, a former Miami Beach police officer who was also convicted and sentenced to the same sentence as Callum.
Raymonvil admitted that she had appeared in adult films before becoming a police officer but had stopped doing so since entering the industry.
"Two police agencies are investigating the matter, so I can't say much. I'll be happy to share with you after the investigation is closed. I have never made a pornographic film while I was a police officer," WPLG quoted Raymonvil as saying.
Raymonvil's social media bio includes photos of her in nightclubs with several famous rappers and sports stars.
There is currently no specific law prohibiting police from acting in pornographic films, but if Raymonvil is found to have starred in such films, she could be disciplined for "acts that bring disrepute to the police department."
In 2009, Mike Verdugo, a police officer in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles, lost his job after it was discovered that he had made gay pornography three years before he became a police officer. Verdugo was fired for being dishonest in his background check.
