A transgender man was arrested while transporting 8kg of drugs from Ho Chi Minh City to Hai Phong for sale.
Hai Duong Provincial Police said that on January 8, while on duty,The working group of the Criminal Police Department and Tu Ky District Police discovered and arrested a subject illegally transporting 8kg of drugs.

Specifically, on the morning of January 8, in Nguyen Giap commune (Tu Ky district, Hai Duong province), the authorities discovered a taxi with a Nam Dinh license plate traveling from Thai Binh to Hai Phong carrying a suspect with many suspicious signs. During the inspection, the task force discovered a handbag in the trunk of the taxi containing 5 packages wrapped in blue nylon, suspected to be drugs.
At the time of inspection, the subject sitting in the taxi presented an ID card named Nguyen Dang Phat (born in 1999, residing on Bui Minh Thuc Street, Ward 8, District 8, Ho Chi Minh City). However, at the police station, the subject admitted that his real name was Le Vo Thuy Vy (born in 1992, residing at Group 2, Zone 7, Tran Quang Hieu, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province). The ID card bearing the name Nguyen Dang Phat was fake.
According to the subject's initial statement, because he met a woman named Phuong through a subject on social networks. On January 5, Vy was asked by Phuong to transport drugs from Ho Chi Minh City to Hai Phong for a fee of 10 million VND and asked Vy to transport the goods by train, not by plane.
At around 5:00 p.m. on January 5, at the Democracy Roundabout (Ho Chi Minh City), Vy was given a bag containing drugs by two women and told that when she arrived in Hai Phong, someone would contact her to receive the bag.
At about 5:50 a.m. on January 8, while transporting 8kg of crystal meth by taxi through Nguyen Giap commune (Tu Ky district, Hai Duong province), the subject was arrested by the police.
It is known that after her parents divorced, Vy went to live with her aunt in Ho Chi Minh City. Vy's aunt was a homosexual. After living with her aunt for a while, Vy gradually became homosexual and started liking women. When her aunt passed away, Vy went to Thailand for gender reassignment surgery.
