American actress hosts FIFA Best Player awards ceremony

The world football federation FIFA has announced the identities of two MCs for the 2016 football awards Gala.

Joining Eva Longori as host of the FIFA event is famous German MC Marco Scheyrel.

Longoria is best known for her role in the television series “Desperate Housewives” (2004-2012). The star has also been nominated for a Golden Globe, and has also worked as a director and producer.

Compared to Longoria, MC Schreyl has been involved in television for a longer time. This star participated in two shows, Pop Idol and the German version of Britain's Got Talent for ten years.

The three candidates for the Best Women's Player award include Melanie Behringer (Bayern Munich), Marta (Rosenhard) and Carli Lloyd (Houston Dash).

The finalists for the Best Goal award do not have any European candidates. Instead, there are three goals from the Copa Libertadores, the Malaysian Championship and the South American U17 Women's Football.
