Female director forged documents to defraud 2.3 billion VND
Taking advantage of the partner company's lax management, the young female director forged documents to embezzle 2.3 billion VND.
On September 19, the Supreme People's Court in Ho Chi Minh City opened an appeal hearing and rejected the appeal, upholding the sentence of 15 years in prison for defendant Tran Thi Thien Truc (30 years old, residing in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City) for the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".

According to the indictment, in March 2009, Dream MeKong Company Limited, headquartered in Binh Duong, hired Truc's company as director to find land locations in Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Vinh Long or An Giang provinces and assist in making land purchase contracts to establish a stuffed animal factory with a service fee of 5,000 USD.
Taking advantage of the authorized work and lax management of Dream MeKong LLC, Truc forged the company's introduction letter and appropriated nearly 2.3 billion VND.
In court, Truc always claimed that she only appropriated more than 600 million VND, but could not provide documents or evidence to prove what she said was true. Therefore, Truc is still responsible for the amount of more than 2.3 billion VND./.
