Retired female teacher murdered by burglar at night
Late on November 5, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Quang - Chairman of the People's Committee of Tran Cao town (Phu Cu district, Hung Yen province) confirmed that a particularly serious case had just occurred in the area, causing one person to die on the spot and another victim to be injured.
According to initial information, at around 7:40 p.m. the same day, taking advantage of the power outage in the entire neighborhood, a thief entered the house of Ms. Nguyen Thi Tan (66 years old; residing in Pho Cao - a retired teacher, currently living alone) with the intention of stealing.

When returning from exercising, Mrs. Tan discovered that a thief had broken into her house and shouted for help. Seeing this, the subject rushed in, restrained her, then used a knife to cut Mrs. Tan's neck, causing her to die on the spot.
Hearing the cries for help, Mr. Bui Ngoc Dac (74 years old, Mrs. Tan's neighbor) rushed over and was also beaten unconscious by this person. Immediately after that, the perpetrator quickly left the scene.
Local people took Mr. Dac to the emergency room and called the local authorities.
“The suspect in the case was arrested by the authorities immediately afterwards. His initial identity was identified as D.HT (17 years old, living near the victim’s house),” Nguyen Xuan Quang added.
The cause of the incident is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
