Female principal missing with huge debt

On December 8, Mr. Do Khac Minh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Te Loi commune (Nong Cong, Thanh Hoa), said that the commune had just sent a report asking for the district's opinion on handling the case of Ms. Do Thi Tinh (45 years old, Principal of Te Loi commune kindergarten) who has been missing for many days, while many people are looking for her to collect debts, causing disorder in the locality.

According to the report of the Commune People's Committee and the Board of Directors of Te Loi Kindergarten, since November 24, the school, the Party Committee, and the People's Committee of Te Loi Commune have not been able to contact Ms. Tinh. Representatives of these agencies came to meet the family to ask for the reason, but the family did not know where the female principal went.

It is known that Ms. Tinh owes people billions of dong. Because she has not paid the interest and principal, some people went to her house and school to demand payment but could not meet her, and contacting her by phone was also unsuccessful.

Mr. Do Khac Minh added that before losing contact, Ms. Tinh had advanced nearly 120 million VND from the school (money contributed to the parent-student fund, money to buy toys for students, etc.), saying that she was going to pay for tables and chairs for the school, but upon checking, she had not yet paid the supplier. In addition, Ms. Tinh had advanced 25 million VND to pay for food, but had only paid 3 million VND.

In recent days, because many strangers have come to the school to collect debts from Ms. Tinh, the Te Loi commune government has had to assign commune police to be on duty during school hours to ensure security and avoid affecting teaching activities.

Mr. Tran Van Thuan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nong Cong district, said that the district will strictly handle if Ms. Tinh borrows money, affecting the work of raising children; at the same time, verify if there are signs of fraud, the district will request the police to get involved.

Nong Cong District Education Department temporarily handed over the management of Te Loi Kindergarten to Vice Principal Nguyen Thi Thanh to stabilize the management and education of children.
