According to initial information, the incident occurred at around 11am the same day. At that time, a woman around 30 years old, wearing a mask, carrying a pink handbag from Go Dau street to Truong Vinh Ky street, then entered a bank transaction office.
Because it was Saturday, the transaction office was finishing up the inventory process and was about to close, so the bank security guard informed the woman that the bank was closing hours. The woman asked the security guard to go inside and get her things and then come back out immediately.
Once inside, the woman placed a pink bag on the counter, then took out a mini gas cylinder and gasoline, threatening the counter staff to explode it. She poured gasoline on the counter and told the counter staff to put money in the pink bag. After taking about 2 billion, the woman ran out, tied the glass door of the transaction office with a rope, and escaped in a 7-seat taxi.
Upon receiving the news, Tan Phu District Police coordinated with the Criminal Police Department - Ho Chi Minh City Police to quickly arrive at the scene. Colonel Nguyen Dang Nam - Head of the Criminal Police Department - Ho Chi Minh City Police directly directed the working groups to clarify each detail and sign and sent working groups to different areas to search.suspectof the robbery.
