13-year-old female student receives 1.6 billion VND prize when crowned Vietnam's Junior Ao Dai Ambassador

At the event at the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural House, Vu Tran Bao Nguyen received a total prize worth 1.6 billion VND, including: a rotating crown worth 800 million VND, a scepter worth 500 million VND, earrings and a necklace. Second and third place were awarded to Doan Minh Anh and Le Gia Huy (10 years old), respectively, from Tran Quoc Thao Primary School.

Bao Nguyen was born in 2006 and is studying at Le Quy Don Secondary School in Ho Chi Minh City. In addition to studying, he has achieved many successes at school in drawing, swimming, piano, and MC competitions... The child model is one of the familiar faces on many domestic catwalks.

After the contest, Bao Nguyen will give away ao dai designed by Viet Hung to disadvantaged students. Teachers and female staff of the school he is attending will receive a 5 million VND ao dai designed by the designer.

In the final, 20 contestants performed Ao Dai to music.I love Vietnam so much. Miss Ha Kieu Anh was the head judge alongside actors Thuy Trang, Hieu Hien, circus artist Quoc Co, singer Bao Nghi... Before the competition night, the young contestants passed the challenge round including: online photo contest, catwalk, photo shoot, video recording introducing themselves in ao dai and self-selected costumes, talent competition.

Vietnam Ao Dai Ambassador is a program by designer Viet Hung licensed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to honor Ao Dai. The program is expected to be held nationwide every two years. In addition to the Children's Ambassador, the contest also has 3 categories: Lady Ambassador, Gentleman Ambassador, and Lady Ambassador, held respectively at the end of July, September and November this year.
