12th grade female student murdered by man at home
While studying for an exam at home, a 12th grade female student was attacked by a young man who stabbed her 7 times. After committing the crime, the perpetrator fled to the mountains.
At around 10:30 p.m. on June 17, Dang Thi Kim Ngan (18 years old, 12th grade student at Ong Ich Khiem High School) was studying for an exam at home in Phuoc Thuan village (Hoa Nhon commune, Hoa Vang district). Ngan's parents and siblings went to her grandfather's house next door.
Hearing their daughter’s cries for help, the family rushed home and found the girl collapsed on the street. At the same time, a young man threw down a machete and ran off into the night. The autopsy revealed that the victim had seven knife wounds on her neck, chest, back, and arms.

At the scene, there were many bloodstains from the living room to the victim’s gate. On the road in front, there was also a bloodstain about 5 meters long from the process of Ngan running outside to call for help. The police also recovered the knife used to commit the crime.
According to the victim’s family, the young man suspected of committing the murder lived nearby, had a wife and children, and was related to Ngan’s family. Recently, this man had feelings for Ngan, but because of their relationship, the female student refused.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thu, head of Hoa Nhon commune police, said the suspect had fled to Phuoc Thuan mountain. Commune police are coordinating with Da Nang city police and Hoa Vang district police, with a force of more than 100 people, to hunt down the suspect.
Ngan is the second child in a family of four children. According to her classmates and neighbors, Ngan is a good and studious person. In the upcoming university entrance exam, Ngan plans to take the medical exam with the dream of becoming a doctor.
