Beautiful Diplomatic Female Student Talks About Her “Rare” Name

Tran Chan Thien My (born January 22, 1999), is a first-year student majoring in International Communication, Diplomatic Academy.

My is currently a contestant in the Miss Diplomatic Academy (Miss DAV) contest. Deciding to become a contestant in the Miss Diplomatic Academy contest, she hopes to test herself as well as have many opportunities to exchange and learn to further improve herself.

Participating in this contest, Thien My not only impressed with her radiant beauty but her name also attracted no less attention.

Thien My said: "My father gave me this name with the hope that I would become a girl with both physical and spiritual beauty.

The word “Chan” means genuine, sincere and also means truth. “Thien” means gentle, kind, always doing good things. And the word “My” means the beauty of a girl.

My father wants me to become a perfect girl, not only perfect in my heart but also in my appearance. And I am still trying to live up to the name my father gave me.

True to her name, My has a beautiful face and a “standard” body. She is 1.65m tall, weighs 52kg, and has measurements of 90-65-90.

My regularly maintains a gym routine of 3 sessions/week, combined with a healthy diet to maintain her figure, but occasionally she also rewards herself with her favorite foods like milk tea and snacks.

Thien My is very confident when participating in Miss DAV because she has strong support and encouragement from her family and friends.

“I am currently in the online and offline voting, if I am lucky I will have the opportunity to go straight to the Top 18 of the contest. If I am not lucky enough to receive the “golden ticket”, I will still participate in the Preliminary round like the others to find the 18 best faces to go to the next round.

I may not be the girl who attracts the most attention in the online voting round of Miss DAV, but I am confident that I can pass the Preliminary round to enter the Top 18," My said.

Although the Diplomatic Academy is a gathering place for female students who are not only beautiful but also talented and multi-talented, Thien My does not consider this as the pressure of the beauty pageant but rather considers it an opportunity to learn and improve herself.

Thien My shared that she has a hobby of taking photos. In her free time, the late 9x female student often goes out for a walk and takes pictures of everyday moments. If she has time, she will study photography in depth.

Some people commented that My has a similar fashion style and radiant features to American hot girl Kylie Jenner, however, My feels that she is not like Kylie.

She said: “Maybe I'm lucky to have a rather Western face, but Kylie Jenner is not the style model I aim for.

I pursue a feminine, discreet style but still have my own charm. I also aim for a healthy lifestyle, balancing my time studying in class and participating in community activities."

The American motto in life is “Be better than yesterday”.

My confided that she had a bad time in her life. “That was at the end of grade 12. At that time, I could not overcome the crisis in a short time, so I always told myself: “Today I will live a little better than yesterday. Just a little is enough, as long as I try”. That sentence will always be the motivation for me to fulfill my dream”.
