High school graduation examIn 2020, Lo Thi Yen - a student of Con Cuong High School, achieved 28.5 points in block C (Literature 9, History 9.75, Geography 9.75), ranked 3rd in the province (if including regional priority points of 31.5). This is not only the pride of Yen herself and her family, but also of her relatives and the school in "Tra Lan area" - Con Cuong's hometown.

It is worth mentioning here that Lo Thi Yen was a girl who suffered a disadvantage when her parents separated at a young age. She lived with her grandparents in Trung Chinh village, Yen Khe commune (Con Cuong). Her grandparents were old, and their main source of income was agriculture, so the family's economy was not very good. Therefore, after school, Yen also helped her grandparents take care of the plants and harvest the crops.

Despite her early unfortunate circumstances and difficult life, Lo Thi Yen was always diligent and tried her best to achieve good academic results, not letting down her grandparents' love. During her three years in high school, Yen was always at the top of her class with an average score of over 8.

“Although her family circumstances are quite special and her life is at a disadvantage compared to her friends, Yen was not discouraged. At the same time, always enthusiastic in the movement activities of the class and the school" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hao, Yen's homeroom teacher said.

Lo Thi Yen is quite good at all subjects but she loves social subjects the most. Since childhood, she has been a thoughtful, emotional girl who likes to learn about characters in literary works, historical origins and wants to explore beauty everywhere.

Sharing her study tips, Yen said: “In my opinion, whether studying natural or social subjects, you must be diligent, focused and make every effort. For natural subjects, you should practice regularly by doing many exercises to form appropriate skills and methods. For social subjects, it is not just about memorizing, but you must try to understand and master the knowledge to remember it longer, helping you feel confident when doing the test. In addition, learning from friends, consulting documents and consolidating knowledge by accessing the Internet is also very necessary.”

Lo Thi Yen shared: “My family’s circumstances are difficult, so after I enroll in school and have a stable place to live, I will find a part-time job to earn more money to cover my studies. My biggest wish is to graduate from university and have a stable job to help my family, because my grandparents are old and my parents have worked hard.”
