Female Valedictorian from village school

(Baonghean.vn) -The valedictorian of Hanoi University of Transport this year is a student of Nam Dan 1 High School, Nguyen Thi Ngoc, with a total score of 26.5: Math: 9, Physics: 8.5, Chemistry: 9. She is the first female valedictorian from Nghe An in this year's university entrance exam to study at a village school.

Born in 1994 in a farming family in hamlet 4MaleSpring,MaleDan. Due to difficult family circumstances, the father had to work as a laborer in Kien Giang, while the mother stayed home alone to work hard in the fields to raise Ngoc and her two children. Understanding the family circumstances, Ngoc was always self-conscious in studying, diligent and obedient. Since she was a student at Nam Xuan Primary School, Ngoc was always at the top of her class, was an excellent student in the district in grade 4 and an excellent student in the province in grade 5. In junior high school, Ngoc was quite good at natural sciences, especially chemistry. For many consecutive years, she was an excellent student in the district in math and chemistry, and won third prize in the provincial excellent student in chemistry in grade 9.

In the entrance exam to grade 10 of Nam Dan 1 school in 2009-2010, Nguyen Thi Ngoc scored quite high and was selected to be in the school's key class. With her intelligence and good learning environment, Ngoc was nurtured by teachers. In grade 12, Ngoc won third prize in chemistry at the provincial level; Ngoc's high school graduation exam score was 51 points, of which, 2 subjects math and chemistry received absolute scores (10 points).

Taking the entrance exam to Hanoi University of Transport, majoring in construction accounting, for Ngoc, it was a carefully considered choice. She found this to be a rather interesting major, with more job opportunities... When asked about the secret to studying to become valedictorian, Ngoc was very modest: “I don’t have any special secret. The basics are to have a firm grasp of textbook knowledge and practice problem-solving skills in many different forms. I also didn’t study much, just attended classes with teachers at school, not at exam preparation centers. Exchanging lessons with friends in groups, in teams or tutoring weaker students is also a way to practice and verify my knowledge.

Not only is Ngoc a good student, she is also an enthusiastic and dynamic Youth Union cadre, a model sister, diligently supporting her mother with housework and tutoring her younger brother in his studies. Although studying block A, Ngoc loves to read books, especially detective stories, the "Gifts of Life" series, and Literature is also her favorite subject with a fairly high score (8.5 points). The concept "in this life there is no dead end, only boundaries, the essential thing is to have the strength to cross those boundaries..." (Lac Season - Nguyen Khai) is also Ngoc's philosophy of life. For Ngoc, in life there are many boundaries that each person must overcome with determination and effort... LAs human beings, happiness and life cannot wait for someone to give it to us, we must take it and preserve it.
