Vietnamese female scientist receives noble award from IASS

On February 11, in Hanoi, Academician, Doctor Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan (Chairman, General Director of AIC International Progress Joint Stock Company) was honored to receive two noble awards from the International Academy of Systems Studies of the Russian Federation (IASS): Academician with the most outstanding achievements in the period 2004-2014, Vernadski star.

The ceremony was solemnly organized by the Vietnam Academy of Science & Technology and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union.

Attending the ceremony were Politburo member, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and ministries, branches, and leaders of Bac Ninh province, the hometown of academician Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan.

Having successfully applied 32 of the world's most advanced technologies in Vietnam, bringing great values ​​to serve human life, Academician, Doctor Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan is the first woman in Asia and Vietnam to be awarded this prestigious award by the International Academy of Systems Studies of the Russian Federation.

The IASS Prize is the most prestigious award of the IASS Institute, awarded every 10 years. The prize is to honor scientists with outstanding achievements and special contributions in the field of science worldwide. The VIVernadski Star Award is the IASS Institute's award for outstanding scientists in all fields.

Over the past 10 years, Academician Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan and her colleagues at AIC have made efforts to bring 32 of the world's most advanced technologies to Vietnam for successful application. These 32 technologies are in many fields such as: Application of new technologies to treat wastewater, including in hospitals and urban areas; application of new technologies to clean up contaminated agricultural land, pesticide residues and dioxin chemicals; application of new technologies to improve training quality, application of information technology achievements./.
