Tap water can... catch fire.
A family in Ohio (USA) was shocked to discover that the faucet they were using suddenly turned into a flammable fuel.
Debby Kline said that simply holding a burning candle near an open faucet will cause a large fire to flare up and spread throughout the sink, sometimes reaching as high as the ceiling.NBCreport
Just bring the flame close and the faucet will spontaneously combust.
The main reason why the faucet turned into a fire starter is believed to be due to the high methane content in the water. Methane is a colorless gas that exists naturally in the ground and is flammable.
Kline added that four months earlier, a gas company had been drilling near her home. Kline said the company would be responsible for the strange water.
