(Baonghean.vn) -Just over a day of rain (from the afternoon of September 7 to the morning of September 8) thunderstorms and localized rain in Nghe An caused many roads to be submerged in water. Especially on National Highway 1A, the section from Hoang Mai town to Vinh city, many roads were deeply flooded, leading to traffic accidents.

At 10:30 a.m. on September 8, a sudden thunderstorm lasting nearly 30 minutes made traffic on National Highway 1A difficult. At that time, a tractor-trailer truck with license plate 37N 2598 carrying more than 40 tons of goods was traveling in the direction of Hanoi - Vinh at km 433, Dien Thinh commune, Dien Chau district when it suddenly veered left and crashed into a section of the one-way guardrail. The driver said that due to heavy rain, he could not see the road.

The car jumped the median.

The road section at the beginning of Yen Ly bridge is flooded.

Although the “fence jumping” incident did not result in any fatalities, it caused traffic congestion at this location for several hours. As of 2 p.m. the same day, the car had not been “rescued”.

In Dien Chau district, at the Yen Ly bridge at km 412 (Dien Yen commune), the water was half a meter deep and stretched for 200 meters, then at km 414 it was the same. Right at the gateway to Vinh city was a vast sea of water, the branch road leading to Vinh airport also suffered from... rivers and streams.

The road to Vinh airport turned into a river.
