We went to Binh's house on a sunny afternoon. Binh and his younger brother were taking care of their mother and giving her medicine. Binh shared: Because they loved their parents, both of them tried hard to study and were determined to pass the university entrance exam to repay their parents' kindness.
Nguyen Thi Binh and her mother
Binh's mother, Mrs. Phan Thi Bay (born in 1962), suddenly suffered a stroke in 2004 and became paralyzed on one side. Since then, her father, Nguyen Hao (born in 1948, retired teacher), has been the breadwinner for the family. Life is full of difficulties, there are times when it seems impossible to overcome. But Mr. Hao still encourages his children to study hard, no matter how hard it is, he can overcome it to support his sick wife and school-age children. Feeling sorry for their parents, after school, the two twin sisters rush to help with the housework, one cooks, bathes, and gives medicine to their mother, the other sweeps the floor and feeds the pigs. When they are in 12th grade, although their parents encourage them to take extra classes to prepare for the university entrance exam, seeing the difficult circumstances, both sisters study at home. Binh confided: I concentrate highly on each teaching hour in class and then spend time reading books and documents at home. For the self-study for the C block exam, I have made a study schedule to study according to the ideas and system. Binh added that the top student of the C block at the University of Law this year got 26 points. Although only half a point short of the top student position, given Binh's circumstances, it is already admirable. Nguyen Tho Hiep's younger brother passed the entrance exam to the Hanoi University of Science and Technology with a fairly high score of 26 points.
Both twins told us that they would try their best to study well to win scholarships to help their parents.
