In Poland, the horror of Russian weapons in Ukraine is mentioned.
The Russian army will use the latest SAO 2S42 "Lotos" airborne self-propelled artillery to penetrate the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, writes Interia - a major Polish news website.
“Tough times are coming for the Ukrainian army. The Russian army finally intends to break through the Ukrainian defenses. To do this, the Kremlin is preparing to use a truly powerful weapon, the SAO 2S42 Lotos. It was tested only four years ago, and now, as it turns out, this weapon is ready for field use,” Interia, a major Polish news website, said.

As journalists point out, this self-propelled weapon is equipped with a 120 mm 2A80-1 gun, capable of launching new guided missiles with a range of 25 km. In addition, the new Russian military equipment can be dropped from the air by parachute, and can also move on water.
The promising 2S42 Lotos self-propelled gun has twice the ammunition capacity of the previous generation Nona gun. Its firing range is 13 km. The self-propelled gun is capable of firing both artillery shells and mines. This airborne self-propelled gun can also swim in water.
"Lotos" has a mass of no more than 18 tons, a maximum speed of 70 km/h and a range of at least 500 km. The vehicle's crew consists of 4 people, and the rate of fire is from 6 to 8 shots/minute. SAO "Lotos" is created on the chassis unified with the BMD-4M.
