At the leading school in the education sector Anh Son

(Baonghean) - In recent years, under the leadership of the Party cell, Long Son Primary School, Long Son Commune (Anh Son) has had many changes in teaching and learning. With these achievements, the school's Party cell is one of the 5 outstanding collectives awarded by Anh Son district after 2 years of implementing Directive 03.

We visited Long Son Primary School - one of the leading schools of Anh Son district's education sector and witnessed many improvements in the teaching and learning of teachers and students at the school.

More than 3 years ago, Long Son Primary School with 5 campuses distributed in complex and remote terrain areas, so the teaching and learning conditions of teachers and students faced many difficulties. In that situation, the school's Party cell, headed by comrade Nguyen Trong Dai - Party cell secretary and Principal, did a good job of mass mobilization with parents and local authorities to carry out the socialization of education. With the motto: "Doing from satellite campuses to main campuses", in the past 3 school years, the school has socialized an average of 130 - 140 million VND/year to build facilities. Currently, the facilities at all 5 campuses with 25 classes meet the needs of teaching and learning; contributing to improving the quality of teaching for 495 students, helping the school reach National standards level I.

The model of "Vietnam New School (VNEN)" at Long Son Primary School (Anh Son).

In particular, in 2012 the school was selected to apply the Vietnam New School Model (VNEN). According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh - Vice Principal of the School, Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, this model has contributed to promoting the positivity of students, they support each other, proactively absorb lesson content and develop and practice teamwork skills. However, with the VNEN model, the school's staff and teachers must also innovate, improve their knowledge and teaching methods to meet the requirements.

Identifying this urgent need, the school's Party cell with 45 Party members has truly played a pioneering role in implementing Directive 03 of the Politburo on studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh. Accordingly, 100% of Party members have registered to work specifically, closely following their professional tasks, which is very practical. During the implementation process, the Party cell regularly inspects and urges, periodically comments and evaluates every month, and every 6 months evaluates the summary of each Party member and Party cell.

Outstanding in registering to follow the majority of party members in implementing thrift, implementing the "two good" emulation, building experience initiatives, striving to have many good students, eliminating weak students. A typical example is comrade Phan Thi Binh Khang - Geography teacher. Ms. Khang is 49 years old this year and has 29 years of teaching experience, so she realized that, for students, geographical knowledge about the locality is very limited because it is not focused on imparting from school and family.

Since then, for 3 years (2011-2013), Ms. Khang has been exploring and implementing an initiative to teach local geography to students. At the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year, Ms. Khang's initiative was widely applied in the primary education system of Anh Son district. "Because of my old age and limited ability to access information technology, plus the limited availability of local geography documents and images, I had to collect them myself with great difficulty. There were times when I had to go to Ky Son district to take photos of geography and ethnic minorities there. The process of collecting documents was very difficult, but the initial application was effective, so I was very happy," Ms. Khang shared.

In 2013, the school had 31 level 3 and level 3 encouraged experience initiatives. All teachers, staff and employees actively studied information technology and professional skills. As a result, the school had 33 teachers achieving the title of excellent teachers at the district level, 1 excellent teacher at the provincial level. More than 83% of students achieved good and excellent academic performance, including 130 students who were excellent at the district level. Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh said: "During the school years, the school's Party cell always built a close, correct and timely action plan, contributing to leading all school activities to complete according to the plan, the school year's tasks associated with studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh, especially the emulation movement "Teach well, study well". Thanks to that, for the first time after 50 years of construction and development, Long Son Primary School was honored as the Flag of the Anh Son Education and Training sector".
