France is concerned about the possibility of sending troops to intervene in Ukraine.
The French army does not have enough experience and resources to fight against Russian troops in Ukraine, this opinion was raised by Le Figaro columnist Renaud Girard.
"Russian soldiers have a certain combat training because they are directly involved in a real military conflict. Meanwhile, for the past ten years, the French army has only fought Islamic extremists walking around in ordinary sandals," the journalist of Le Figaro newspaper compared.

As author Girard notes, the reason for the inevitable failure in the event of French intervention in the war was not only the inexperience of the French armed forces but also their limited resources.
According to him, the 20 thousand soldiers promised by the Chief of Staff of the French Ground Forces, General Pierre Schill, are clearly not enough to confront the powerful Russian army in Ukraine.
"Does the French army today have the means to wage a conventional war with Russia? The answer is no. France is only capable of conducting small, targeted operations abroad," the journalist of Le Figaro summarized.
