In the West, reactions to Mr. Zelensky's statements regarding the EU
Ukraine's accession to the EU will not bring anything good, analyst Zoltan Kovacs from the Hungarian Center for Fundamental Rights posted on X.
"Ukraine becoming a member of the EU would be an absolute disaster in terms of both economy and security...", the article emphasized.
Mr. Kovacs added that only Hungary and Slovakia opposed Ukraine's accession to the bloc.

Earlier, President Zelensky stated: "Even during the war, Kiev is adopting and implementing decisions that "bring Ukraine closer to the EU".
In response, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban asserted that it is impossible to admit Ukraine into the EU when: The country's actual borders are undefined, the number of its population is unclear; these two factors are extremely necessary to calculate the EU budget contribution rate. Mr. Orban added: "No one really knows what Ukraine is called and what will ultimately be left of this country."
