New Ford car only 173 million: Thousands of people are waiting
Ford has introduced a low-cost crossover model called Freestyle 2018 in the Indian market, with a starting price of only about 173 million VND.
The 2018 Freestyle is called a Compact Utility Vehicle (CUV) by Ford, or a small, low-cost SUV.
In terms of design, this model is actually developed based on its hatchback "brother" Figo. However, compared to Figo, Ford Freestyle 2018 has slightly longer, wider and taller measurements.

According to information from the manufacturer, Freestyle 2018 is positioned in a lower segment than the Ecosport line in the Indian market.

In the Indian market, the 2018 Ford Freestyle has both petrol and diesel engines. Of which, the petrol engine has a capacity of 1.2 liters, producing a maximum capacity of 96 horsepower and a maximum torque of 120 Nm. The diesel engine has a capacity of 1.5 liters with a maximum capacity of 100 horsepower and a maximum torque of 215 Nm.
The 2018 Ford Freestyle comes in four trim levels: Ambiente, Trend, Titanium, and Titanium+. This crossover also comes in six color options: Canyon Ridge, Gray, Silver, Gold, White, and Black.

Although it was launched at the end of January 2018, the official price of the 2018 Ford Freestyle was announced after 3 months. In the Indian market, this crossover model is sold at the lowest price of 509,000 INR (equivalent to 173 million VND) and the highest price of 789,000 INR (about 270 million VND).
After the Indian market, the Ford Freestyle 2018 will be sold in some other markets such as South America and Europe. In the European market, the Ford Freestyle 2018 is distributed but under a different name, Ka+ Active.

Notably, recently, many car manufacturers in the world have focused on developing small, low-cost cars. In early 2018, many low-cost car models were launched, attracting the attention of consumers.
Last February, PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) introduced the small 4-seat car Daihatsu Sirion imported from Malaysia to the Indonesian market, with prices starting at only 296 million VND.
Also in February, Hyundai launched the 2018 Hyundai i20 B-class hatchback, called Elite i20, in the Indian market, with 10 different configuration versions, with prices ranging from 534-915,000 Rupees (equivalent to 188-322 million VND).

Ford also introduced a new version of its small, affordable, sporty city car in Europe last February. The 2019 Ford Ka+ will be sold in the European market around the end of 2018 with a price starting at 15,200 USD (equivalent to about 344 million VND).
At the end of January, Datsun - Nissan's low-cost car brand - launched its first crossover model in Indonesia called Datsun Cross, with a starting price of only 280 million VND. Previously, Datsun launched 2 small, low-cost cars with beautiful designs and priced at only 127 million VND in the Indian market.
