According to some local people who witnessed the accident, at the time the 7-seat passenger van (driver unknown) was traveling in the direction of National Highway 15 to Nam Dan town. Due to driving at a very high speed and lacking observation, the driver lost control of the steering wheel and suddenly plunged into a sewer in Hamlet 4, Nam Nghia Commune, Nam Dan.
