Trucks dumped on railway, traffic paralyzed

(Baonghean.vn) -At 03:50 on August 4, a container truck with license plate 37S 6439 (driver's identity unknown) carrying timber for export on National Highway 1A (km 380 + 500) in the direction of Hanoi - Vinh suddenly lost control and crashed onto the Thong Nhat railway at km 238 + 750 (Hoang Mai Town), causing railway traffic through this area to be completely paralyzed.

Because the car fell right at the time the tourist train NA1 from Hanoi to Vinh was approaching, the railway industry had to hold the train at Truong Lam station. The truck driver fled the scene. Because the amount of wood on the truck was too large, it was not until 7:30 a.m. that the car was towed off the railway and traffic on the Thong Nhat railway line resumed.

Although the accident did not cause any casualties, it caused a series of passenger and freight trains to be delayed by 200 minutes. Of these, trains NA1 and SE20 had to wait the longest, the truck was severely damaged, and road traffic was partially congested.
