Coach Park Hang-seo asked his players to line up horizontally when preparing to receive a corner kick from a teammate, in the match against Olympic Palestine.

The 2-1 victory at My Dinh Stadium is not important for the Vietnam Olympic team in terms of results. Because it was just a friendly match, in the process of screening and preparing for the upcoming Asiad. However, Coach Park Hang-seo seems to have reaped many useful things, especially in testing personnel as well as techniques and tactics.
One of the noticeable points is that he applied a new corner kick style, never seen before in the Vietnamese team.
The attacking players line up in a row, close together. When the ball leaves the kicker's feet, they immediately spread out to occupy positions. This arrangement makes it difficult for the Palestinian defenders to divide their marking.
This corner kick organization method was applied by England and made a splash at the 2018 World Cup. Thanks to it, the "Three Lions" became the team that scored the most goals from set pieces.Coach Gareth Southgate and his colleagues previously went to the US to learn from rugby matches and tried to apply this trick.
Currently, Vietnam has many players with good physiques, or qualities suitable for aerial combat such as striker Anh Duc, central defenders Tien Dung and Duy Manh, fullback Van Hau... Yesterday, they were often present to participate in attacks in corner kick situations. Although they have not left a specific mark, it can be seen that coach Park Hang-seo is always looking for ways to innovate to maximize the strengths of his students. At the club, the above players have scored many goals with their heads.

In this call-up, Coach Park Hang-seo surprised everyone by calling Anh Duc - a 32-year-old striker. However, this 1m85 tall player is a good option for aerial situations. He not only knows how to score with his head but can also act as a wall for his teammates. In yesterday's match, the captain of Binh Duong Club scored a goal, a header that hit the post and will almost certainly be retained to compete in Indonesia at the Asian Games.
“I am very happy to score a goal. Palestine is a strong team, with good players, who can control the ball and the game. So defeating them is a good result for Olympic Vietnam,” Anh Duc shared. “Older players like me and Van Quyet have also played many matches with young players, so they adapted quickly and did not encounter any difficulties.”
