Medvedev: “There is no global confrontation between Russia and the United States”
There is no global confrontation between the Russian Federation and the United States at the moment, even taking into account the current difficulties in relations and the situation around Venezuela, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said.
"The tension around Venezuela is not a matter of global confrontation between Russia and the United States. There has been no such global confrontation, even with all the current difficulties in our relations with the United States," Medvedev said in an interview with Bulgaria's Trud newspaper.

"They only help to divert attention from the essence of what is happening in the Bolivarian Republic. And of course - from the role of the United States and a number of countries in Europe and Latin America in these events. The information noise around Venezuela is intended to hide the opposition of international law and legitimacy against unlimited lawlessness," the prime minister stressed.
