Poroshenko hopes EU aid will increase for Ukraine
Ukrainian President Piotr Poroshenko during a meeting with the foreign ministers of Estonia, Lithuania and Poland Sven Mikser, Linas Linkyavichus and Yatsek Chaputovich expressed hope for the growth of aid from the European Commission and EU member states to support Donbass and the Priazov region of Ukraine.

"In this context, the head of state highly appreciated the decision of the EU side to send a group of assessors to Ukraine at the end of January to study the additional socio-economic needs of this region," - the website of the Ukrainian leader said.
The news agency noted that during the talks, the situation in the Azov and Black Seas was discussed, as well as "existing threats from Russia."
The statement said that Mr. Poroshenko expressed gratitude to the heads of foreign ministries of countries - allies of Ukraine for actively raising the issue of applying the new "Azov package of sanctions" of the EU against Russia.
On December 17, it was reported that the European Union plans to send a working group to Ukraine in 2019 to assess the need for assistance to the regions. It is known that the EU Council after the meeting of the EU-Ukraine Commission discussed the possibility of providing targeted aid to the Azov region from the EU side.
