Mr. Putin was recognized by a robot in a crowd

Russian President Vladimir Putin was identified and interrupted by a smart robot while visiting a technology company in the city of Perm in the Perm Krai region.

Thanks to its facial recognition feature, when it saw the Russian leader walking with the engineer who created it, the robot Promobot interrupted his conversation and introduced itself.

"Hello Mr. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, I am Promobot, an automated service robot. Nice to meet you," the intelligent robot introduced itself to the Russian leader.

In response to the cute greeting, Mr. Putin also reached out to shake hands, Mirror reported.

In addition to facial recognition, Promobot can also distinguish documents and knows several languages.

The "father" of this smart robot claims that Promobot can work as an automated support system at international agencies and events.

Earlier this year, a similar robot saved a little girl's life by stopping a bookshelf from falling on her head.

Promobot is currently on display at Perm Polytechnic University in downtown Perm.
