“Let's go,” Putin said, getting into his car. He led a convoy of about three dozen trucks to test the bridge's stability.
Earlier, the Russian President learned about the work of the Unified Traffic Management Center and all services operating the bridge across the Kerch Strait.
Acting Minister of Transport Maxim Sokolov and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Stroygazmontazh Company Arkady Rotenberg reported to the President on the construction of the bridge.
The bridge over the Kerch Strait connecting Crimea and the Krasnodar region is the longest bridge in Russia, its length is 19 km. The traffic on the bridge was originally scheduled for December 2018, but the builders completed the work ahead of schedule.
