Putin calls for international coalition to fight extremism

(Baonghean.vn)- Reuters reported that on September 4, Russian President Vladimir Putin called for the formation of an international coalition to combat extremism. Mr. Putin also said that he had spoken to US President Barack Obama about the idea.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the upcoming Eastern Economic Forum, President Putin said that in addition to President Obama, he had also mentioned this alliance to the leaders of Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and many other countries.

“We really want to create an international coalition to fight terrorism and extremism. To achieve this goal, we have consulted with the United States – I personally spoke about this issue with US President Obama,” President Putin said.
