“The PLA command must be absolutely loyal and have firm faith in the Communist Party of China, ensure a smooth chain of command, and ensure that all decisions from the central leadership are implemented,” Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, chairman of the Central Military Commission and president of China, said.

“The command of all PLA forces should improve combat readiness and enhance capabilities to win a regional war in the information technology age,” Xi called.

DNA commented that although this is not the first time the Chinese president has asked the army to be ready for a "regional war", this statement is considered noteworthy in the context of continuous encroachments on the Line of Control (LoC), the temporary border between the two countries (China, India) in the Ladakh region.

It is still unclear why Mr. Tap emphasized the need for the PLA to be absolutely loyal and obey orders from the central leadership, according to DNA.

The Chinese president's directive comes amid tensions between the PLA and the Indian army in the Chumar area of Ladakh region, along the LoC.

On September 22, the PLA set up seven tents inside the territory claimed by India and showed no signs of withdrawing.

Also on September 22, General Fang Fenghui, Chief of the General Staff of the PLA, said all PLA forces must follow the direction of President Xi, who also holds the position of Chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC).
