This afternoon (December 28), in Hanoi, the Central Economic Commission held a conference to implement the Politburo's decision on personnel work, and to present the Politburo and Secretariat's decisions on the transfer to the position of Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission.
Attending the conference were Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries: Head of the Central Organization Commission Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the Central Economic Commission Nguyen Van Binh.

According to the Politburo's Decision, Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, was appointed to the position of Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh stated that Mr. Tran Sy Thanh is a capable person, with basic training, having experienced different positions, environments, and working areas, always demonstrating a strong political stance, enthusiasm with the will to rise up, ready to accept all tasks assigned by the Party and State in difficult and complicated areas to cultivate, train and overcome challenges.

In the current period, with its functions and tasks, the Central Economic Committee is becoming increasingly important, requiring the strengthening of young, dynamic, enthusiastic, capable, experienced and specialized cadres in various fields.
Therefore, the Politburo's decision to assign Mr. Tran Sy Thanh to the position of Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission is both a recognition and appreciation by the Central Committee for Mr. Tran Sy Thanh's capacity and contributions, and also to add more young cadres to the Central Economic Commission.
