Mr. Trump thinks Mr. Putin and Mr. Zelensky should meet.
The US president reaffirmed that he supports resolving the Ukraine crisis for humanitarian reasons, among other reasons.

According to TASS news agency reported on February 22, US leader Donald Trump said that Russian President Vladimir Putin needs to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss resolving the Ukraine conflict.
“President Putin and Mr. Zelensky will have to sit down together,” President Trump told reporters at the White House while signing several of his new executive orders.
He stressed that he supports resolving the Ukraine crisis for humanitarian reasons, among other reasons. “That’s why I want to see a ceasefire and I want to get it done,” the US leader stressed.
A day earlier, in an interview with Fox News, he said that despite his criticism of Mr. Zelensky, he was still willing to continue contacting the Ukrainian leader. The US president promised to respond if Mr. Zelensky called him. At the same time, Mr. Trump also noted that Mr. Zelensky was hindering the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine.
