Trump made a gaffe, the White House quickly corrected it
The White House recently denied President Donald Trump's claim that his wife met with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

In a closed-door press conference at the G-7 Summit held on August 26 in Biarritz, France, Mr. Trump said: "Kim Jong-un is someone I know quite well, the first lady knows him well. I think Melania would agree with me, Kim Jong-un is a man leading a country with great potential."
However, there is an unreasonable point in the US President's statement: Mrs. Melania has never met Mr. Kim Jong-un, so she cannot know much about this leader.
Just minutes after Mr. Trump's announcement, netizens quickly searched for information and confirmed that Mrs. Melania never accompanied her husband on any trip to North Korea and she could not have met Mr. Kim Jong-un.
According to RT, the White House quickly discovered this small error and issued a statement clarifying that the President only meant that his wife knew the North Korean leader well through his very detailed stories about Kim Jong-un.
And that, although she has not met Mr. Kim Jong-un, what President Donald Trump told her was so informative that the first lady felt she understood the North Korean leader, said White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham, who is also in charge of communications for Mrs. Melania.
