Mr. Yanukovych - former President of Ukraine was provided with a security team by Russia
The security team for former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych was provided by decision of President Vladimir Putin, spokesman for the head of Russian state Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday.
"It was by order of the President of the Russian Federation that Mr. Yanukovich was provided with protection. In general, the national guard is provided at the request of the head of state," — said Mr. Peskov.

According to him, this decree was signed when Mr. Yanukovych entered the Russian Federation as the head of the Ukrainian state.When asked specifically which agency provided Mr Yanukovych with security, Mr Peskov replied that he could not answer with certainty. "I cannot tell you exactly, I do not know. But he is protected, he has a national guard," Mr Peskov said.
