Mr. Zelensky tries to apologize to President Trump after war of words
President Zelensky has expressed regret after his war of words with President Donald Trump at the White House, and said he is ready for peace talks.

According to RIA Novosti, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed regret on social network X for the war of words at the White House with US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, but did not apologize to them.
"Our meeting last Friday did not go as expected. I regret that this happened. It is time to fix things," Mr. Zelensky wrote on the social network X on March 4.
The Ukrainian leader also announced that Kiev is ready to start negotiations as soon as possible to resolve the conflict.
In addition, Mr. Zelensky said he is ready to sign a resource agreement at any time and in any convenient form.
In response to the move, US House Speaker Mike Johnson told Fox Business that he had discussed with President Donald Trump the regret that Mr. Zelensky expressed about the events that took place in the Oval Office. And Mr. Johnson considered the statement from the Ukrainian leader to be an apology, and that his willingness to resolve the Ukraine crisis was genuine.
“I spoke to President Trump about this two hours ago, when Mr. Zelensky’s statement came out. And I said, Mr. President, that’s exactly what he needed to say. He basically apologized to the President for what happened in the Oval Office. And he’s ready to go back to the table, and it was very smart of him to accept the deal,” the US House Speaker said.
Previously, on March 4, the White House said that the US would suspend all military aid to Ukraine until the US President realized that Kiev was committed to peace negotiations.
