Mr Zelensky wants to raise the territorial issue in his meeting with Mr Putin.
In a possible meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, leader Zelensky said he wanted to raise the issue of Ukraine's territory.

According to TASS on August 19, after negotiations with US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced his readiness for a bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, where he plans to raise the territorial issue.
“I have confirmed, and I have the support of all the leaders, that we are ready for a bilateral meeting with President Putin,” Zelensky said at a press conference at the White House, adding that he later hoped for a trilateral meeting with the participation of President Trump.
In particular, Mr. Zelensky wants to raise the territorial issue at the bilateral meeting.
“The territorial issue is a question that today's meeting left for me and Mr. Putin,” the Ukrainian leader said.
Mr. Zelensky also stated that he is ready for elections in Ukraine, but believes that it is necessary to first ensure the safety conditions for holding such an event.
"I am ready for elections," Zelensky said, answering a journalist's question during a meeting with US President Donald Trump. "But this requires security guarantees."
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump on Truth Social revealed that he has begun preparing for a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, followed by what is believed to be trilateral talks between Russia, the US and Ukraine.
“After meeting with European leaders and Mr. Zelensky at the White House, I called President Putin and began preparations for a meeting between President Putin and Mr. Zelensky. The location for the meeting has not yet been determined. Following this meeting, we will have trilateral talks in which both President Putin and I will participate,” President Trump wrote on Truth Social.
According to Mr. Trump, this is "a very good first step" in the process of resolving the conflict.
