OSCE staff said that gunmen from eastern Ukraine's militias were still preventing them from accessing some parts of the plane's wreckage.

Staff from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) said on July 19 that they had reached the crash site of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17, although gunmen from eastern Ukraine's militia forces still prevented them from accessing some parts of the plane's wreckage.

"We are now able to examine the details of the accident here after being granted access. In addition, we have also approached the people responsible here as well as those who are working here to remove the victims' bodies from this area," said Alexander Hug, who led the mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe to the crash site.

Earlier, the self-proclaimed Prime Minister of the Donetsk Republic, Aleksander Borodai, said that the bodies of the victims on flight MH17 were decomposing and called on the international community to quickly come to the scene to handle the accident, blaming the Ukrainian authorities for not allowing experts to access the scene of the accident.

On the afternoon of July 19, the Ukrainian government and separatist forces in eastern Ukraine reached an agreement to establish a 20-square-kilometer safety zone at the crash site of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17. The establishment of this safety zone will allow the removal of the bodies of victims of Flight MH17 that are still lying at the site./.
