OSCE: Ukraine situation could "develop according to a very bleak scenario"
According to Voice of Russia, Chairman of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), President of Switzerland Didier Burkhalter does not rule out that the situation in Ukraine “may develop according to a very bleak scenario."
In an interview with Swiss television channel RTS on September 1, Mr. Burkhalter said the current situation in Ukraine is in a "sensitive phase" as fierce fighting continues in the East between government forces and separatists, and emphasized the importance of diplomatic efforts.

Mr. Burkhalter also said that there are currently no necessary conditions to initiate a specific dialogue on important issues such as ceasefire, border control, hostage release, disarmament and the initiation of a genuine national dialogue.
NATO also expressed skepticism about Kiev's prospects in the fight against the militias of the separatist Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics.
In fact, NATO admits that Kiev has been at a disadvantage in the military conflict in Ukraine, especially after the militia took control of Lugansk airport, their superiority became clear./.
