Hyundai's B-class sedan - the Verna has officially launched a new version in India, with a selling price equivalent to 12,500 USD (about 280 million VND).
The fifth generation of Verna has been launched by Hyundai in India, with a starting price of 799,900 rupees (equivalent to 12,500 USD).
This model has two options of gasoline and diesel engines, with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The 2017 Hyundai Verna will no longer have a 1.4L engine, but instead will have a 1.6L engine for both gasoline and diesel engines.
With a 1.6L petrol engine, Hyundai Verna has a maximum capacity of 122 horsepower and a maximum torque of 151 Nm, with a fuel consumption of about 17.70 km/l for the MT version and 15.92 km/l for the AT version. Meanwhile, the diesel version has a capacity of 127 horsepower and a maximum torque of 260 Nm with a fuel consumption of 24.75 km/l (MT) and 21.02 km/l (AT) respectively.
Hyundai Verna in India has 12 different versions, with prices ranging from 799,900 - 1.24 million rupees, equivalent to 12,500 - 19,300 USD.
Notable equipment of this car comes standard including: front seat airbags (high-end version has 6 airbags), ABS brake system, 15" alloy wheels...
Meanwhile, the most advanced versions have additional projector headlights, LED daytime running lights, fog lights, sunroof (remember the Indian market is even hotter than Vietnam), automatic air conditioning, push-button start system, 7" touch screen supporting navigation system and Android Auto, Apple CarPlay connectivity...
Currently, Verna 2017 only has sedan version, Hyundai India has not revealed information for hatchback version.
